A smart choice for feeding baby, SmartNourish ORGANIC baby foods are made with USDA certified organic fruits and vegetables and wholesome ingredients important for a baby’s development. They have protective antioxidants, vitamins E and A (from Beta Carotene) and/or C, to help support a baby’s natural defenses.

The Importance of DHA and Choline
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is a fatty acid naturally found in breast milk. DHA is considered to be a “building block” for the development of brain and eye tissue.
Choline also can be found in breast milk and is an essential nutrient needed for cells to function normally. Additionally, Choline helps support muscle and memory function.
Although DHA and Choline are found naturally in breast milk and present in fortified baby formulas, they are most abundant in food uncommon to a child’s diet such as fatty fish (DHA) as well as beef liver (Choline). As babies begin to eat solid foods, SmartNourish 2nd Foods purees help ensure that baby continues to get these important components.
