FLORHAM PARK, NJ (April 16, 2018) - Gerber Products Company today announced that it will move its U.S. corporate headquarters from Florham Park, New Jersey to Arlington, Virginia, where Nestlé USA, Gerber’s sister company, recently moved its headquarters. The company expects to bring more than 150 jobs to the Washington, D.C. area with this transition, which will begin in January 2019.
This decision does not impact Gerber’s manufacturing locations. It includes corporate functions such as marketing, finance and HR, among others.
“Keeping pace with the rapid changes in how consumers eat, shop and engage with brands, we have been assessing our business so that we become more agile, efficient and innovative in an increasingly competitive marketplace,” said Bill Partyka, President and CEO of Gerber. “Closer proximity to Nestlé USA’s new headquarters will provide efficiencies that will be reinvested in our people, products and production to fuel growth.”
The business will move to 1812 North Moore Street in Rosslyn, Virginia, part of Arlington County. The location is home to Nestlé USA’s corporate functions, its Beverage, Baking & Global Foods divisions, as well as its expanding eBusiness team and Center for Marketing Excellence.
“We are committed to supporting all of our employees through this process,” said Bill. “Employees are receiving advance notification to allow them to plan for relocation. The transition will be executed over more than a year-long period which is expected to minimize any disruptions to our colleagues and the Gerber businesses.”
Nearly all Florham Park-based employees will be offered relocation. The company will provide severance and outplacement support for any employee that does not make the transition to Arlington.
